APPENDIX 5- POSTER FOR THE CAMPAIGN

Creative Platform

The issue to be addressed is whether social media have an impact on mental health disorders and to what extent.
The objectives of the campaign are to spread awareness and to shed light on this topic by selecting the youth (15-25 years old) in the United Arab Emirates as the audience. We decided to target heavy users of social media in order to inform them how to limit the usage of social media, so that it does not lead to negative consequences on the mental health.
The creative strategy used in this campaign are the promotional tools:

  • The poster

  • The brochure

  • The banners

  • Short videos on social media

  • Emails to externals (especially to mental health centers)

 

In particular, the poster (that was also used in the brochure and the banners) contains not only the title, the date, the time and the place of the event, but the questions, data and statistics regarding mental health disorders give it a rational appeal.
The poster also has emotional appeal due to the colors and the pictures that were used that make it more attractive; thus, it easily grabs the audience’s attention.
